Since launching in 1980 the Sundowner V has done several trips around the Pacific Ocean.
On her maiden circuit, the designer crewed from Hawaii to Victoria (BC) completing the 2400 miles in 17 days despite encountering some storms, calms, and riding the edge of a typhoon for 2 days.
The latest voyage for this vessel was in 2002 when she participated in and completed the Victoria-Maui race.
