- Developed and designed in
cooperation with Naiad Inflatables, New Zealand.
- Since launching in 1999 the
“Naiad Explorer” has logged over 6000 hours
(approx. 1500 hours/year) with minimal downtime. She operates
year round, serving the forest industry from October to
April and provides whale watching tours during the summer
months. At the same time she is on call with the Coast Guard
auxiliary and has made many rescues.
Some features that make this
vessel very versatile:
- Loaded cruising speed of
30 knots, top speed of 38 knots.
- The ability to handle rough
water.
- Operations in shallow water:
Arneson Surface Drives.
- Bow boarding ramp for beach
loading/evacuation.
- Low noise signature both
underwater and above.
