Still More New Books

This year I am publishing the fifth in the folk tale collection and my Mom's cook book.

The cook book is called "Baba the Cook," and it is a great book. Mom and I have been working on the book for about two years, and it sure feels strange to be finishing it without her.

The book consists of her favorite recipes, along with little stories of where and from whom she got the recipes, plus lots of photographs of her and the recipe-donaters.

Exercise

I have been getting lots of exercise lately, figuring that if my body is happy, my mind will get itself back into shape easier.

It works. Since October I have been playing badminton anywhere up to five times a week, and I feel much better. I'm so busy worrying about my Achilles tendons and tennis elbow that I don't have time to think about my personal losses!

Fencing

I have also taken up fencing again, for the first time since university days. This is a great sport, and I just love it.

If anyone happens to know where there is fencing equipment available cheap, let me know. Our little club in Summerland is in need. Of course, you realize that I am talking about Fencing, the Sport, not fencing the farm!!

Speaker Available

The speaker is me. I have spoken to all kinds of schools, clubs, organizations, meetings and celebrations, and I will do as many more as I can find.

I figure that the more people are made aware of the need for collecting and preserving the stories, the more we will get. If anyone needs a speaker for any kind of a function, let me know.

Change of Address

Please note my mailing address above. Some people are still using the old one, and it is causing problems. Smarten up!

Internet

I still think email is the way to go. Everybody should be on it. Then I wouldn't have to depend on the Post Office so much. To date, they have lost 26 pieces of mail for me. That's books, photographs, letters, orders, the works. And by lost, I mean gone, disappeared forever. I don't know how they do that. And why me?!

So get on the Net, and send me a message. I can get my email from anywhere in the world, so that is the best way to contact me.
